A house lost in the 80's loses it's stucco ceiling, textured, pastel wallpaper and oak faced fireplace and get's a whole new "groove!" Light, airy and modern - a room that invites lively conversation and entertaining. A group of four comfortable chairs, a selection of books to choose from and a warm fire to read by... simply divine!

A contemporary, kitchen remodel that is light, bright and airy with a two color palette on the cupboards. Upper cupboards and a division wall were removed to create a counter height seating area and to afford an unobstructed view of the adjoining dining area. Metal accents were added with distinct cabinet hardware, speciality pendant lighting, tile accents and the metal framed base of the swivel bar stools. The clients collection of heirloom rolling pins is showcased in a basket beneath the island.

World Travel Inspires Rich &  Layered Home Design

The client's many treasures from worldly travels create the foundation for a home that is simply delightful to the eye. No detail is overlooked. Hand made tiles adorn the fireplace, an old secretary that had seen better days becomes the crowning glory with a decorative chinoiseire finish in Chinese red creating the perfect backdrop for the china blue tea service. Custom upholstered chairs in a silk ikat print coupled with a luscious velvet on the back and welt.

The level of detail and sense of anticipation continues in the dining room with custom designed dining chairs in lime green velvet and a chain link brown stripe interior. The walls are painted in lime green with an architectural treatment on the lower half. A mini scaled wallpaper adorns the ceiling and the custom draperies finish the room with the same brown chain link fabric found on the chairs used again in a different manner to define the lead edge of the draperies.

The powder room is graced with a chandelier of its own, dappled lime green tile, and a bold red and black wallpaper. The pagoda style mirror finishes the look above the graceful pedestal sink.

More color and pattern delights the eye in the living room with a coffered ceiling with bead board bays, wicker furniture that evokes a shanghai adventure and more lively pops of pattern and color to delight and amuse the eye!
